Argh, good idea Eric. That's how I'll pay for mine.
Just thinking about mailing. I'll be in the U.S, soon, so I think I'll have you mail them there.

Merci Helene!
I really appreciate that, the rats are one of my favorites too. I'm glad you noticed they're rats..everyone thinks they're mice.

Thanks Frank! I was thinking this would be the easiest way to get signed copies to people. Are you heading up to New York?

Wow! Thats great Eric!! Awesome stuff. I love the rough sketches below as well. The 'stars' sketches are really powerful. Great stuff my friend!!

Hi Eric,

I missed a few updates, and the less I can say about the stars is that these two pictures are incredibly beautiful. I'm doing stars for the same purpose and seeing your work gave me the right impulse I needed to start. I honestly think you raised the bar very high for this stars memorial. It's inspiring, and yes, it reminds me of Kollwitz, too.

Yes, I'll be heading up that way soon.
About the drawings. I sometimes give a sketch to good clients when they buy a painting. A bonus just for collectors who have a lot of my work. Usually a sketch for the painting they have bought or something similar. They frame them.
People ask about buying them sometimes. Framing them to keep them clean is the hard part.

Thank you so much, Rawls!!

Merci Armel!
I can't wait to see what you do!
Your work is always so beautiful!I'm glad you can see the Kollwitz influence.

Thanks rank, I do something like that too.

Beautiful stuff, wow...
Every single painting is fantastic, but I really like your black and white drawings too!

Congratulations on your book!

Congrats again Eric!:)
I have a silly question for you at this time: how do you pack the prints you're selling on Etsy? Do you put them in really thick envelopes with cardboard or...?:) Also, do you mail the parcels/envelopes yourself, or you send stuff to Etsy and they ship it? I'm thinking of starting some e-selling myself, but I know nothing about it...;)

Eric Orchard said...

Alicia: Cool.

It will Ambera.

Thank you so much Patrick! I'm pretty partial to my black and white stuff too.

Thanks Bojana! And there are no silly questions! I know that that's a cliche but it's true. You pack and shipeverything yourself, Etsy acts like a market place where you have a stall.
I've been packing them flat, in cardboard and then in a bubble wrap envelope and so far everyone tells me that the prints have arrived in perfect condition. There are triangular envelopes too, which the Canadian postal service will ship cheaper because it's less likely to roll than a cylnder.
Please put some stuff on Etsy! I'll be first in line!
Also, did you notice I set up Paypal right from this blog? I did that the other day and that's working really well too.I hope that answers your question, if you want to know more just email me.
