Here are some photographs of taken around my studio. Mostly these are broken toys that I've picked up. I took photography in school but never took to it as a mode of expression. However, I do find that my photos look like my drawings. I think the stuff I put in my studio also reflect my interests and loves.

Your photos do feel like your drawings! The toys are great.
Thanks Vickie!
Is that Max with one of the Wild
Things in the middle picture? Cool.
Hi Jeanie! Thanks for stopping by~Yes that's Max.Some of my favorite toys.
I'm planning on doing a studio post as well. I think studios show an artist's personality more than any other space. In my case, I don't have to temper my love of color and art. heehee.
I love your toys...it's hard to let go of loved things, even when they're broken. I say it adds character, and an artist can never have too much of that!
I liked your retrospective post of 08. I too feel like I'm on the cusp of something wonderful this year. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and your GN pursuit. I wrote a MS for one last year, and getting the art done is a huge endeavor that I'm putting off for now. :)
I'll look forward to your progress posts!
Love the robots; very nifty. It's interesting how having those kind of things around while you're working helps improve that creative mindset.
Thanks Dee! It's so good to have goals.
Thanks Abigail! These are objects that make me happy for whatever reason and I guess that's how they help.
Oooh, witches and monsters ! I've got something like that here... I think it's very important to be surrounded by witches and monsters. Keeps the imagination going on....
...or it's just cool.
Ah! I love the Wild Things figures! I've never seen those before. Where did you find them?
Thanks Anais!
Thanks Tara-I got them at the comic shop. I don't think they make them anymore but I've seen a few on ebay. There's 5 or 6 action figures altogether I think.
You totally inspired me on this one...http://timbaron.blogspot.com/2009/01/coworkers.html
Theu're brilliant!
They remind me of that scary Jan Svankmejer film.
Do you ever get scared that they might stand up and start moving around?
