"People who look for symbolic meanings fail to grasp the inherent poetry and mystery of the image," René Magritte.I read this quote yesterday in a book and the truth of it hit me like a ton of bricks. No matter how much I assume symbolism is being used in my art work it's always about the mystery.
And then I love stories. Can a story clearly told still be mysterious?
